Magnolia Tree Silk has been adapted from an archive piece with Cole & Son's artists repainting all flowers by hand. With magnolias cultivated in China for centuries, the design is representative of the Orientalist design movement popular during the Victorian period. The graceful Magnolia Tree Silk with its ephemeral blossom offers a timelessness in a calming palette of Soft Cream and Powder available in two different silk bases emphasizing the sophistication of the design's organic climbing trail. The Raw Slub Silk is akin to silk wallpapers that adorn stately homes and royal residences; every drop is unique with the tactile texture of raw silk. The non-Slub Silk is a luxurious alternative of smooth silk with a soft sheen. Ideal for a boudoir, with silk on your walls you are always 'dressed to the nines'.
