Kintsugi

Kintsugi is a striking and unique mural by Muance that presents a face emerging from stone, rendered in a cube geometric style. The artwork is characterised by its neutral tones, which enhance the sense of solidity and timelessness. The face, subtly visible within the geometric forms, evokes a sense of mystery and introspection, inviting viewers to contemplate its presence. The mural’s design is a testament to its name, Kintsugi, which refers to the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, thereby embracing flaws and imperfections as part of the object’s history and beauty. Similarly, this mural celebrates the concept of transformation and resilience, where the emergence of the face from the stone suggests a narrative of strength and renewal. Printed on a matt non-woven material. This is a standard size mural made up of 10 panels which are 50cm wide covering a wall space of 5m wide by 2.7m high.
