TEHUANA

Mexicans usually decorate their “tehuana”, a traditional garment for celebrations, with flowers. Lavishly embroidered, it is a real work of art with its bright colours and intricate patterns. This large all-over design is an interpretation of the abundant Mexican flora and fauna. The profusion of colours and the overlapping leaves, flowers and birds create a sense of exultation.
