Ensure that the surface to be treated is clean and dry. Any previous finish must be thoroughly removed before using Boiled Linseed Oil.
Ready to use. For ease of application dilute the first few coats with Liberon Pure Turpentine (up to 30%). Rub well into the wood using a lint free cotton cloth. After about 20 minutes, wipe off the excess with a clean lint-free cloth. Failure to do so will prevent penetration of future coats and leave a sticky surface. Repeat the previous steps once or twice at 24 hour intervals. Apply a final coat of Boiled Linseed Oil, again wiping off any excess. Allow this final coat to harden for a few days before use. A light rubbing in between coats with Liberon Ultra Fine Steel Wool (0000) will improve results. If the surface becomes damaged, work in a new coat.
