Marbling
How to create this effect:
- Put 2 coats of Acrylic Eggshell Basecoat on the wall in the colour of your choice and allow to fully dry
- Create small quantities of coloured scumble glaze by adding Mixol stainers to Ratcliffes Transparent Oil Glaze
- Apply the glaze sparingly to different areas
- Using a Stippling Brush, blend the colours together by lifting colour from one area and depositing it onto another area
- Mix up very small quantities of coloured glaze in stronger colours
- Use a fitch brush or a feather to apply the veins of the marble
- After each stage soften using a Hog Hair Brush in all directions
